Secret Google Search Tips for First Page Results
Being in the Search Engine marketing industry you get a person that want’s to cut corners. I don’t mind providing free information. I can share with you how we do a good job and honestly, anyone can do SEO. You don’t have to pay an agency and it seems like I’m trying to take the food out of my mouth but that’s not the case. Just being factual. Zion Port is the best seo company that money can buy and anyone can do what we do. There are a few advanced things that you can do, but there are basic tactics that will take you a little bit further.
Before I go into that let’s talk about why people pay for an SEO agency. It’s called “time-consuming.” SEO takes a great deal of time. To write a proper article here’s what I do. I have to take the time to research what’s the trending topic. What’s the best keyword to focus on? Even in this article, I had to ponder on the three tips. Why I think they are important and more. That is essentially an hour of time. Once I’m done with this article I have to start marketing it. It will take another hour of time. That’s just this article. I have one more article to do. So, rinse and repeat the process. It’s a four-hour process. Even if your work your own business. You don’t need two-four extra hours of work to take you from your day. It’s where an agency comes into place. Because there is so much more that has to be done just to top the day off. I always say when it comes to doing SEO a person don’t have time to do two jobs.
Here is a crucial Google Search tip that will help your search engine results. I had to go over the clients for the past year and I realized what seemed to be trending with the clients that we come across. So, there are at least 10 things that I found and I wanted to address at least one of them today.
Website Load Speed
This is a silent killer of websites. Google will rank the faster relevant sites first. Because Google wants to be fast. Think about it this way. It takes 1 second to search and 1 second to load the results. How fast do you want the website load? 1 second. There have been many reports of demoted websites because of website speeds. Here’s the thing. Let’s assume you have a competitor that’s identically optimized in keywords and everything with your website. Except your competitor would take me 1.1 seconds to load the website and your website loads at 1.5 seconds. Google will put your competitor above you for that very reason.
That seems a bit extreme but a slow website provides a poor experience. I can provide stats here but I’m not going to. I will say this what is to be known is you have 3 – 5 seconds to capture your visitors with your message. If 3 of those seconds are with them loading your website this means now you have 2 seconds with your message. Now here’s how it works with Google also. If you have Google analytics on your website which you should there is a timer that starts counting the moment the page is fully loaded. So once 3 seconds is done and a person backs out of the website by the 4th second. Google will register this as people being on your website for 1 second and then back out.
So not only is your website slow and giving me all this time to wait to load I might wait for the website to simply load just so I can back out anyways. If this happens enough times Google will de-rank your website for providing a poor experience to people.
The way we at Zion Port like to design a website is to compress everything. Our mind-frame is kind of an old school one. Which is treat every visitor as if they are on a 56k dial-up modem or better yet that they are on a 3G network. This means I have to assume you’re on a cellular connection. When I think of it that way if I can get the website load nearly instantly even as if it were on a very slow network that it will please everyone.
Another thing that might make the website slow is where you have it hosted. This might make things out of reach or too technical but the physical location of your website is actually a factor. Because we don’t know where you or your visitors are having to retrieve your website data. There are a few ways to approach this.
When we work with our clients on a web design and management service one thing we ask is, “Who is your audience and where are they located?” Because we work with to web hosting services at any given time when we host websites. I’ll share one of them at the end. Basically, why this matter because if we’re working with a client in Australia then we will host the website on an Aussie server. If we are working with a client in the UK we’ll host the site over there. And this matters tremendously. Of course, if you’re in the USA and so is your audience then we’ll host it here. For a more technical, If you have a global audience, we host the website in the USA but we have approximately 15 virtual servers scattered across the world and the main purpose of that is to pull a snapshot of the website to distribute your website to all of those servers, but your audience only pulls from the closest server. It’s flawless and it works.
So let me end on a happier note on providing solutions.

And to check your website speed go to “Pingdom: Website Speed Test.” This is an important free tool. If you work with Zion Port on your SEO project we’d perform a speed test here also. If they avoid this topic then that should be a red flag for you.
